Meal Idea: Baked Teriyaki Chicken

I am always looking for a new meal idea. Recently I tried this dish and it was an absolute HIT! It will definitely be added to our rotation! I am a very picky and finicky eater. I wanted to lick my fingers after eating this chicken!

Ingredients
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon cold water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
12 skinless chicken thighs
Directions
1.In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the cornstarch, cold water, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and ground black pepper. Let simmer, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens and bubbles.
2.Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
3.Place chicken pieces in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Brush chicken with the sauce. Turn pieces over, and brush again.
4.Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Turn pieces over, and bake for another 30 minutes, until no longer pink and juices run clear. Brush with sauce every 10 minutes during cooking.

Bedroom Inspiration

I have really been focused on home decor lately One of my first orders of business after saying I do in a 2 months will be project HOME. Our place really says "BACHELOR" to anyone that enters.

I am scouring the web and magazines for any inspiration to help shape what will soon be our family home. I came across this photo while browsing over at Modern Moments Events.com. While the site is dedicated to event planning (which is something I am seriously considering), she posted these beautiful bedroom pics! The images were actually taken in a hotel...but I would love to have this as my bedroom! I am sure FI would veto that! LOL Check them out!

Checking IN......

It's been a while since I posted...I have to admit...I was doing much better...until my world literally fell apart. 9 days after my last post, I lost one of the most important people in my life, my grandmother. I have always been very close to my grandmother and I miss her terribly.

I have been staying busy with school and the wedding. I have lots to share. I am slowly trying to get myself back on track. I have to admit...it is pretty hard because I think about "Momma" daily. Please pray for my strength and healing as I process her death.

Here is the last picture I took with her. This was two weeks before she departed. We'd gathered to celebrate her 86th birthday. RIP Momma...I love you now and always.

One thing I love...is freshly manicured nail! I came across this image today and I absolutely LOVE this color! Must have it! A friend of mine blessed me with a few Zoya polishes and I must say....I love them! I will definitely be adding this to my extensive collection very soon!
